Waiting Line
Question: Why do some cases behind me move ahead? I don’t understand. I did everything right with the documents. I am in day 240. That takes my waiting in vain.
What can I do to get ahead? Someone is telling me to consult an immigration lawyer, but I don’t want to pay a lot of money just for them to say that there’s nothing that can be done about it.

there’s no answer. some people get approved in 6 weeks and some wait years. ignore the lawfully estimate. nobody knows how USCIS works because they definitely don’t approve in order. I’m at 11 months. best thing to do is just be patient. they will get to you when they get to you! best of luck

don’t waste your money on a lawyer. they don’t speed up USCIS. I spent $4000 on mine and they just tell me to be patient. if you actually go over the processing times you can get help from a congressperson or senator or the white house but 8 or 9 months is not a long wait to be honesy

I agree. I cannot imagine paying money for an answer I already know or for something I cannot change.
