EAD Renewal ( I-797 and I-797C )
I sent my EAD renewal application last week. I included I-797 Action notice which shows the receipt # and when my EAD card will expire, it also has information that I have a I-485 pending. However, I did not include I-797C, which show that I paid and when my original application was filed. Will there be a problem with my application? I also included other documents too.

The important part of a Renewal is not showing you paid. It is sending a 797 to prove you have a pending 485. We got a rejection and had to resend. If you know you did not prove that in your Renewal Application, resend it quick to save you time. We did and got ours in 30 days. List the contents of your package for them. They love it and it makes life easier for the reviewing officer. Good Luck my friend. Renewals with pending 485s are free.

I did include the 797 that prove I have a 485 pending. but I did not list the content on my package tho. I only submitted. 2 passport photos, I-797, copy of my current EAD, I-94, driver license, copy of passport, my social security.
if I may ask. why were yours rejected. u didn’t include 797?

I used wrong and not updated form and also did not send the correct 797. I messed up.
