Health Insurance Pending AOS
I can’t seem to find a straight answer but my husband has health insurance through his employer. Am I able to be added to his insurance while waiting for my green card/EAD? Or do I have to wait for a SSN?

nope he can add you on the health insurance accept he gets something different but that does not affect your AOS

With the marriage certificate, his company should recognize you as a spouse and add you on pending an SSN. Hopefully his company allows that. Mine added my wife until she got her SSN. Good Luck my friend.

well my husband's company says no I have to have a ssn. even though I have a Tax ID.

@bribri: So sorry to hear that. The moment you show proof of marriage it should be place you under the spouse category. Some companies take HR policies way out of context. A marriage certificate is a Legal document. Hopefully you will get your SSN soon. Good Luck.

@Z.A Thank you,, I sent all docs to HR. im now pregnant each dr visit is so crazy. im just praying I get my ssn soon.

That’s terrible on their part. I would think with you expecting they will be sensitive enough. Can you expedite it with your pregnancy? USCIS should understand that.

I explained to the immigration officer who called me today, she said she has to send requests to NBC ,because I should have gotten my EAD already, I did bio from January 2020. 😔😔all they did was send me travel Documents..

@Rachel Finn my employer said I could add my spouse to my insurance without a social but that he would need to physically be in the US and have his visa already
