F-1 / CRP
Hi!
I hope someone can give insight. I’m currently in the US and has active F-1 visa with pending i-485 currently CRP. I got my Employment Authorization Document, is it safe to stop my F-1 visa while waiting for the approval of my i-485?

It’s safer and advisable to continue on your F-1 visa till your I-485 is approved.

do you have a lawyer? my lawyer advised me that it was totally safe to stop my F-1 status after I received the Employment Authorization and Parole.

I’m under an agency so I don’t really have a direct contact with the lawyer. I heard there are some who stopped their F-1 with pending i-485 and they said it’s fine. I’m afraid to stop, it’s the cost as well.

its advised to be on status until you case approved because if in case your case gets denial you will have no status and will be out of status
