Take everything you have. They pick and choose what they want to see. Pictures are important but not heavy hitters anymore for the officers. Even a child between couples seems to be ignored lately. Your story should be powerful and convincing. Some officers like to separate couples at the initial interview. It happened to us unexpectedly but we were just fine. Hopefully you get a pleasant officer who is courteous and respectful to you both. You can ask at the end what their verdict is as well. Thatโ€™s if you judge the officer to be a pleasant one. Answers should be close ended and clear so nothing is left for doubt. Due to mask requirements be sure to make sure you hear the officer well and make sure they hear your answers clearly. Do not hesitate to ask for clarification of any question. This is a one time shot. Donโ€™t get bullied in there either. Some officers are into that as well. Good Luck my friend ๐Ÿ€.

Take everything you have. donโ€™t leave space for judgement. Even if itโ€™s a random mail that was received at the address by either of you or both of you. If you have EZPass, notice of liability (camera tickets) anything..... point to note.... get a highlighter and highlight your names.... address and date on each document. it would make it easier for you. I shouldโ€™ve done this for mine but I didnโ€™t think of it then. good luck!!!

Don't forget your lease with you both names in it, or a letter from your landlord, also jointly file taxes. ๐Ÿ™

@Penila: Good point. Regarding Leases, not all couples get the beneficiaryโ€™s included with the same date. This is due to the absence of the beneficiaryโ€™s SSN. Petitioners should get a letter from Rental Office explaining why Lease dates may or may not correlate with Initial Dates when Lease Started. We had this issue.
