Can you get state ID while AOS is pending?
Has anybody gotten a state ID with their application still pending? What paperwork do I need to get state ID, would the application receipt be enough?
I haven’t received my EAD yet either and would like to have state ID.

it depends on the state but I got mine from WA state while my application was in process.
all I needed was my ssn, passport, vehicle registration and marriage license. I didn't even need anything related to my AOS application.

apr’20 Seattle, were you on a valid visa in the US? I’ve heard that If you are in the U.S. temporarily on a travel visa, your state ID will expire on the last day of your legal stay in the U.S. — but since we’re on pending I-485 status how would they set that end date? I think this applies for getting a driver’s license too.

my visa had expired when I applied for my licence and I got the normal 6 years validity as per WA state rules.
what you are saying about end date is valid for some states, not for all which is why I clarified in my first post that it depends on your state
