They may have a reason to want to Review. Maybe an answer wasn’t clear enough. We got a review that was to last 120 days. We got a home visit on day 119. We are still waiting a decision 5 weeks after the visit. Hopefully yours is just a slight backlog on the officer’s part. Good Luck my friend.

If the officer gave u a white paper stating your case must be Reviewed. Then it will state a 120 day waiting period. For us, on day 119 of the 120 day wait we got a home visit by an officer from USCIS.

No date stated on the paper ,just marked the number 2 ,which states the case must be reviewed

my case is in the same office. still waiting for 2 months after the interview. same status change must be reviewed and that it.

I believe that was how ours went. It was the only option he could really select. Further investigation on their site let us know they had 120 days to make a decision.

That’s interesting. Was it lunchtime or something? On our White Paper I believe box 2 was the only option for a case held for Review. Box 1 and 3 were totally not for us.

Exactly, I wonder why box 1 should be reviewed when its already indicated approval

@Z.A.Original it’s was in the morning 8:30am on March 4th and the officer said our interview as being completed and when he gave me a white paper he told me nothing to worry about cause I was nervous that did I do something wrong then he smile and said no that you will receive your GC in a mail within 2 to 3 weeks

I had mine on March 2, and given the notice, with box no 1 check marked. it says your case is continued for review...

and officer told us, that he's a new employee so he can't decide it right away, a senior would review our case..

@Nad: That usually means they pass it on to their supervisor with their recommendation for approval and the supervisor 99% of the time pushes it forward for production. Good luck my friends. 💃💃

All the officers have a final sign off from their supervisors before the case gets approved. Some Sr. Officers have the power and system rights to approve it in the system almost immediately. That’s why some cases get approval while beneficiary makes it back to their cars after the Interview. Funny thing ain’t it?

@That Guy: When an interviewing officer is not convinced about your case there is a chance he may refer you to FDNS (Fraud Division of USCIS). They evaluate what the officer notes from the interview and start a detailed background check of the case. If they feel it is necessary to visit your Home (Family Based Case) or Workplace (Employment Based) an officer will show up to verify your case at their on time. It took a day shy of 4 months after our interview to get a home visit. It went very well but we are still waiting almost 5 weeks later. I hope that helps you. Good Luck 🍀

what papers did you sign ,do you know? and if your update is to review then be patient for it to be approved, then the paper of notification of approval with be mailed to you then gc followed likewise

Dr Dunkley, I signed in a small space in 2 different white papers. I don't even know what was it, he just told me, sign here and here. and that was it.

@Gilbert Nkeng Azeng . same thing happened to me also today we went for an interview today and everything went good and I asked to officer that how was our interview so he told me it was fine but he told me they gonna send me a notice so in the mail so he told me to check it every day and also I did sign on the 2 different papers with my full & Initials sign on it but I don’t why they took that !

My wife mentioned the signature after the Interview is to confirm that you have been Interviewed by the USCIS. The portion that ppl acknowledge by putting their initials I believe is some sort of disclaimer for USCIS. Good Luck 🍀👍🏾

hey @Z.A Original can you please explain me that how we know the interview went well or we passed because me & my wife was separated and the officer asked to my wife just few questions and he asked me lots of questions which was very common to answer so we both matched that and then he asked me wait and he come back with an another officer so he didn’t ask me anything just we wished each other and that’s it and the officer gave me 2 forms to sign so I know one was firm I-485 but I don’t know the other one he just told me to sign it and also I did initials sign 2 times and then the officer told me that you will receive a notice in the mail and he told me check the mail everyday so I asked the officer how was our interview so he told me it was fine and it was ok and then we left from there after that my online status has changed to Interview completed and my case must be reviewed! and that’s it so brother I will be appreciate for your response on it !

@Martin: From your description of how it went everything looks good. What I don’t get is that “wishing” part the other officer came in to do. Do you mean the officer really came in there to wish you good luck and had you sign the documents. It also seems the interviewing officer is new at this and the one that came in was his supervisor. I strongly believe you guys are fine. Mine was also a separated interview at the start. The beneficiary is kept longer.

yes @ Z.A. yes the other officer came but he didn’t ask me anything he just came with the other officer who was taking our interview so our officer came & he gave me the papers to sign on it but didn’t tell me anything about it only he said you will get notice letter by mail so keep checking you mail every day but one thing I want tell you that while I was signing the papers they both were talking something funny like about do something on the weekend!

@Martin: Your case will be approved shortly. The pressure is on the officers to adjudicate cases and do away with past policies that were holding up cases. You guys will be okay. Look out for latest Wednesday. It could be your 130 will need to be pushed through at the same time as the 485 so that only take a bit. Relax my friend.

And also @Z.A my I-130 petition has approved already last year and I got the approval letter of my work authorization last week & and also received it with SSC.

hey@ Z.A; can you please explain me that everyone is talking about the white paper but which white paper it’s because the officer keeps it or they gives it to the applicants!

@Martin: Most interviews seem to end with the officers having the beneficiary sign a document stating they had their interview on that day. It seems to be a requirement for USCIS. Other initials are required in other areas of acknowledgment. I expect ppl to read carefully before initialing anything., most don’t. They also provide a white paper stating the next step such as Case Must be Reviewed. In my opinion, those who do not receive the paper usually get quick response. Definitely, there are some exceptions as each case is different. Again, I believe the ones that keep the paper have a decision that will be approved by their supervisor. Note: Not all officers have the experience or power to adjudicate cases on the spot. In general, supervisors approve 95% of cases forwarded to them by interviewing officers. That’s about the extent I can comment on this process and I hope this gives you a bit of help in understanding.

Original; sorry to disturb you again, because we just discussed about the interview so our 2 questions didn’t match like the officer asked to my wife that what is your husband’s favorite color she said WHITE but I answered my favorite color White & red . 2nd question was what movie you watched last time with your wife! so my wife said TYLER PERRY SHOW we watched last time just before left the house and my answered was we watched TYLER PERRY Show last night before go to bed . can you please give me your opinion on it, but accept that we both answered all the questions correctly and the officer asked me lot of questions about my visa status & all , so can you please give me your opinion on it thanks in advance.

@Martin: You both answered fairly the same. The key part of the question was White being in your answer and both of you answering Tyler Perry. The officers are not that particularly strict if you both answered with similarly close answers. I will not worry at all. You are just fine my Brother. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

@Martin: Your answers really were not off at all. There should be no reason for them to refer you guys to FDNS. Ours had missing information on my wife’s visa application that required them to doubt her intentions. Information she entered on her visa application while applying for her B2 dropped off due to internet connection issues. She did not notice it and submitted it for her visa. We explained how it was an innocent oversight on her part but the officer at the Interview was questioning it. These are the type of situations that they refer to FDNS not answers that are correct but one person added another color or specific time a particular show actually aired. You both had the right show/movie. USCIS has more complicated interviews to warrant FDNS than yours. They delay could be just checking on your lease/mortgage information. Rest my friend.

Yes. We asked and he said he had everything he needed. Interview Completed and Case Must Be Reviewed update came 2 weeks after. Home visit was 4 months after interview. From your description of how your interview went, I don’t think you will go through that at all. Soon ok.
